There is good news! Lions and LCIF have surpassed the halfway point in our effort, along with our partners, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and others, to raise US$10 million to help save 157 million children through One Shot, One Life: Lions Measles Initiative. The not-so-good news? Halfway won't get the job done. I challenge you to raise the remaining US$4 million to meet the Gates Foundation challenge by the end of October.
Improving the health of communities is a key part of Lions World of Service and throughout the world measles wreaks havoc with the health of children. It can cause blindness, pneumonia, brain damage and even death. You can help prevent this by making a gift to One Shot, One Life. Please do it before October 31st!
