Lions Club of DSM Host on 23rd November flew 37 children together with 31 escorts to Narayana Hrudalaya Heart Institute  in Bangalore and Fortis Escort Heart Institute in New Delhi. The subsidised heart surgeries is in collaboration with Regency Medical Centre, Ministry of Health Zanzibar, Satya Sai Society of DSM, Hrudalaya Heart Institute, Fortis Escort Heart Institute and various local donors including youthful Yash of International School.

The activity is part of the projected mission by Host Club to send 150 children to India during this LY 2012/2013. The cost of each patient including escorts and air-tickets were met by the donations collected through the Lions endeavour driven by Convenors Lion Dr. Kanabar and Lion Shiraz. Cost per patient noted was $4,100. 

The ceremony Chief Guest was Hon. Debnath Shaw, High Commissioner of India. The ceremony was also attended by Deputy PS of Ministry of Health Ms. Regina Kikuli, PMCC Lion Abdul Majid Khan,  1VDG Lion Wilson Ndesanjo, RC Lion Rizwan Qadri, ZC Lion Naeemullah Dar and other prominent personalities.
