DISABLED STUDENTS SEEK PLACEMENT AFTER GRADUATION DURING PWANI CLUB ACTIVITY

On 16th of September 2012, Pwani Club visited Vocational Training Centre at Yombo Kiwalani Secondary School to provide lunch and snacks to the 103 disabled students studying various trades. President lion Rafiq Ghartey expressed his appreciation to the school management for allowing to carry out the activity. He presented 30 Library Text Books, 2 Footballs and 1 Basketball to the Teacher.

The Assistant Headmistress of the School Mariam Chirangwa welcomed and thanked the Lions and said that the disabled children were trained in tailoring, farming, poultry, welding, electrical, computer, carpentry and blind, dumb and deaf teaching. She requested that the students be assisted with job placements after graduation.

During the occasion, 10 children participated in action oriented game that was won by a deaf girl. She was presented with a cash price.  

Lion Bakari thanked all members of the club who had attended to record success of the activity. He profoundly acknowledged presence of RC Lion Salim, RC Lion Rizwan, ZC Lion Naeem as well as Amani President Lion Babul during the activity.
