PMCC/PDG Lion Majid Khan advises on Mzizima's Quest Endeavor

RE:  QUEST PROGRAM

DEAR LION MURTAZA,

Thank you for your e-mail and I am pleased to learn that your club has formed a QUEST PROGRAM committee to be overseered by you. I am quite optimistic that under your convenorship, you will give impetus to this crucial program.

Lions mission is to provide life skills to our youths so as to make them responsible citizens of the future and to lead a healthy drug and alcohol free life with a vision and to reinforce the positive values.

For your kind information, to–date we have managed to conduct Eight successful Quest Training Workshops in Tanzania. Namely:-

2 workshops in Dar-es-Salaam
2 workshops in Mwanza
1 workshop in Arusha
1 workshop in Moshi (Kilimanjaro)
1 workshop in Tanga
1 workshop in Morogoro

These workshops were carried out by professional Quest Program trainers from India and Kenya respectively.

To-date we have trained 240 teachers from 120 Primary and Secondary schools, including 6 Lion members from Dar-es-Salaam and Mwanza respectively.

It is our firm belief that these teachers and lions who have been trained will implement the directives given by the professional trainers in their respective schools and communities.

I am also pleased to inform you that during the course of training. The senior trainer from India also trained 2 persons from Dar-es-Salaam to train the trainers of this program. These two trainers have qualified to train the teachers in our country without the presence of trainees from outside the country in a very near future.

Regarding your intention to visit the schools, I would advise you to contact the District Convenor of the Quest Program – Lion Mohamed Mulla who will assist and guide you how to go about with this essential and sensitive program.

Apart from the Quest books which were allotted to all the participating teachers during the Quest training workshops held in the country, we have also received the Quest books for the students and parents for dissemination to those schools and parents as per District Convenor directives.

Meanwhile, should you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the District Convenor Lion Mohamed Mulla and the undersigned; as we shall all be working hand in glove to make this program more effective and meaningful.

Wishing you all the best in your true endeavours to enlighten the young generation about the Quest program.

With kind regards,

LION ABDUL MAJEED KHAN
